Rest. Reflect. Recommit: Prepare for Your Next Season Ep.201
As Goal Getters, we're always thinking about what's next. The next goal, the next opportunity, the next deadline and, of course, the next win. But before you move into your next season, Coach SandyB challenges you to do three important things: rest, reflect and recommit.
In Episode 201 of the 90 Day Wins Podcast, Coach SandyB shares why rest should be part of your strategy, not something you wait to do after you're exhausted. She reflects on her summer getaway to Antigua with Passport Moms and how intentionally stepping away gave her an opportunity to rest, connect and recharge.
She also shares personal reflections from traveling to San Francisco with her daughter, appreciating the moments that happen outside of our normal routines and recognizing how much life can change in a short period of time. It's a reminder to slow down long enough to recognize your growth, appreciate where you are and acknowledge what you're grateful for right now.
Then it's time to recommit.
As we prepare for the final quarter of the year, what goals still deserve your energy? What have the detours, pivots and unexpected moments taught you? Instead of focusing only on what hasn't happened, Coach SandyB encourages you to recognize what you know now, how you've grown, what you've survived and what you've already accomplished.
Your story for this year isn't finished.
Take the energy you've restored, the clarity you've gained and the lessons you've learned and put them into action.
Rest. Reflect. Recommit. Then execute.

Episode 201 of the 90 Day Wins Podcast. This is your host, Coach Sandy B, and I am fired up and ready to win. As goalgetters, we spend a lot of time thinking about what we need to do next. The next goal, the next deadline, the next opportunity, the next win. But as we prepare to enter a new season that I'm so excited about, there are three things I believe are important for every goal getter. So that's what we're talking about today. As we prepare for this new season, we got to make sure we take care of some things before we move in to our next 90-day wins. We want to take some time to rest. We want to take some time to reflect. And then we want to recommit. See, rest, we want that so we have the energy to go where we desire to go. You want to have the energy you need to get where you need to go. And then you want to take some time to reflect. And reflecting allows for you to recognize what this season has taught you. What have you learned these last couple of weeks as you are moving towards achieving your goals? You want to understand what worked, what didn't, and what you need to change in order to be successful by the end of the year. And then we always want to take some time to recommit. You want to recommit to the goals that you believe still matter to you. And that's what we're talking about today. We're not just moving into another season because the calendar says it's time. We're going into this next season with intention, using what we've learned and deciding how we're going to show up for the next wins we still want to achieve. So are you ready to rest, reflect, and recommit? Let's do it, goalgetters. Before we get started talking about this next season, I want to talk about rest, reflect, and recommit. Is rest a part of your plans? See, we take time to plan for everything else. We plan for our goals, we plan our work, we plan our next move, but do we intentionally plan to rest? I want to share with you why it's so important to make sure you plan to rest. We are preparing and planning for so many things. And sometimes we forget to take that break to rest. You have to be intentional. What is it that you will do to make sure that you get the rest that you need? I can tell you this summer, I have been intentional because this year has brought so many different changes in my life and so many different things that I've had to focus on and be so in tune with making sure so many other people were good. And it's important that you check in on yourself. So this summer, I had the opportunity to be intentional about stepping away and resting. I traveled with passport moms, created by my friend Sakari Johnson. I talked to her in episode eight of the 90 Day Winds podcast. So it has been some time since she was on the show, and I got an opportunity to witness the passport mom experience. And I can tell you, this was such an amazing trip. We had the opportunity to go to the beautiful island of Antigua. We stayed at the Sandals Gran Antigua Resort and Spa. And I was surrounded by 30 plus women who were ready to do just that, to rest and to enjoy each other and to share such a beautiful space. I can tell you, I feel so grateful to be a part of an organization where this event was curated for us. Everything we needed was available to us. And when I think about planning for rest, this was one of the best things I could have done. Every event, every excursion was available for us to take part of, or we could just chill and relax. It was up to us. And this gave such a great opportunity to enjoy the trip, to connect and meet new people, but then also to rest. See, rest does not mean you have to stop pursuing your goals, but it does mean that you have to be intentional about taking the time for yourself. And I want you to know rest can be a part of your strategy because sometimes you need to get outside of your normal environment to recognize just how much you've been carrying. And this trip allowed for me to take some time to be to rest. And this was exactly what I needed with the year that I've been having. So I want to encourage you to make sure rest is a part of your strategy. You don't have to earn exhaustion before you give yourself permission to rest. So before you burn yourself out, make sure you're checking in. Make sure you are aligning yourself with the things that allow for you to take some time to regroup. And I want you to know goal getters need recovery too. So make sure rest is a part of your strategy this year. In thinking about resting and your strategy, I want to give you some questions that you can answer for yourself to make sure that you are being intentional about your rests. The first one is what was the last time you intentionally rested without feeling guilty about it? A lot of times women feel guilty about taking time for themselves to really allow for themselves to rest. So I want you to answer that question for yourself. And then also, what would change if you actually made rest part of your plan? How would your life be different if you plan to rest? This is what I want you to think about. And I want you to enjoy these videos that I share about the time that I had resting, because I really want you to think about what you can do. You don't necessarily have to go on a trip out of the country. Maybe you can take a road trip, maybe you can take a weekend getaway, something to allow for you to rest and to come back energized, ready to get your wins. Sometimes you have to step outside of your routine to really see your life. And that's what reflection does. This summer gave me an opportunity not only to rest, but also to reflect. What reflection means is intentionally stepping back from the daily routine and thinking about a few things. What you've experienced so far, what you've learned, how you feel, what has changed, who you are becoming because of your journey. This life is a journey. And so taking the time to reflect, to see where you are, to check in with yourself is so important. There's so much going on. Life changes so quickly. How are you making sure you are truly aligned with what's important to you? That happens during reflection. So much has changed this year. One of the things I'm most grateful for is feeling the fog of sadness beginning to dissipate for me. And as that fog lifts, I'm able to see the beautiful rays of sunshine that are still here. And that makes me grateful. What are you ungrateful for? How are you enjoying life? How are you making new memories for yourself? Even in the midst of everything that's going on, it's still important for you to take some time to reflect, some time to allow yourself to fully experience the moments that are here in your life. And I recently traveled to San Francisco with my daughter to celebrate her birthday. We explored, we laughed, we talked, we enjoyed each day's adventure. And we even started planning our next adventure together. And somewhere in those moments, I realized we need these experiences outside of our daily routines. I'm grateful for every opportunity I have to continue bonding with my child as she grows and enters new seasons of her life. But it's also about taking the time to enjoy the moments. And I am so grateful that I can do that, to move away from my normal routine and take the time to spend with the people I care about. How about you? How are you showing up for what's important to you? How are you making sure you're taking time to do the things that will help you reflect and be excited about the future ahead? What has this year taught you about yourself? These are things that you can easily do to reflect on where you're going and how things are working for you. What moments have you been moving too quickly to appreciate? It's time to take some time and smell the roses, my friend. Sometimes we can be so caught up as goalgetters to plan everything and to get those goals achieved. But it's okay to take some time to think about what you've been able to achieve so far and what you're looking forward to. And then ask yourself, what has changed in your life since January? Quite a few things have changed in my life since the January, but I'm still excited about what's ahead, what things I get to achieve. So I want you to take some time to answer these questions for yourself. What are you grateful for right now, in this moment, as you listen to this episode? I hope there are quite a few things that you're grateful for and things that you're looking forward to as we move through this next season. So take some time to reflect, think about where you've been, and be excited about where you're going because you're moving with intention to achieve your wins. Your passion should already be paying you. If you're tired of watching the months roll by without the progress, you know you're capable of it's time to make a move. The win collective is where you stop thinking about your goals and start executing daily guidance, real accountability, and a community that refuses to let you play small. This is where ideas turn into income and consistency becomes your new normal. If you want this year to look different, you can't keep doing the same things. Join the win collective today and start monetizing your passion right now. Don't wait. Your next win won't happen without you. So if you're feeling the pull to reignite your passion and finally monetize what you love, you're not alone, my friends. That's exactly why I built the Win Collective on school. It's my private community where you will take action and we'll do it together. It's free to join, and it's where the real connection and accountability happens. Join today. So we've rested, we've reflected. Now it's time to recommit. Before we enter this final quarter of the year, this is our opportunity to look at the goals we pursued in this season and decide what deserves our energy. We want to take some time to acknowledge the things that went well and the things we have to improve on. There have been so many detours this year. There have been pivots. There have been things we planned that didn't happen the way we had expected them to. There may even have been goals that didn't make sense anymore. And that's all a part of the journey, right? And that is perfectly okay because every pivot, every lesson, and every experience has led us to this moment. And so we can be grateful for the fact of being here, having another opportunity to tweak some things, to make some changes, but to continue to move forward and building that momentum. You know, this fourth quarter, we want to build momentum as we move through to the journey. So this is important that you take some time to recommit to what's important to you. You want to ask yourself, how will you use the lessons from earlier this year to fuel your wins through the end of the year? Don't just look at what didn't happen. Look at what you know now that you didn't know in January. I'm sure there were a lot of things that you've learned these last couple of months that you just didn't have the understanding of in January. Look at how you've grown. Look at how you've survived. So many things have happened where it could have made you feel as if you couldn't go on, but here you are. You're still moving on. I know for me personally, if I knew last year what I would have faced in January of this year with my mom transitioning, I don't know how I was able to make it through all that without my faith and my family. And so I give thanks for that, right? I survived a sudden loss. And so there are so many things that you can think about and think back to in January, what you've experienced these last couple of months that have allowed for you to grow and to survive. Look at what you've been able to accomplish. And then I want you to decide how you're going to move. You have to recommit to what's important to you. So I want you to do this quick exercise with me. I want you to choose the goal that still matters. And I want you to ask yourself, what am I recommitting to? Why do these goals still matter to me? What have I learned that will help me execute differently? Because we must be able to execute and take action for the things we desire. What do I need to stop doing? What do you need to make changes on in your life right now in order to see that goal materialize for you? Maybe you need to stop spending so much money. Maybe you need to stop hanging out. Maybe you need to lock down on some work, focus on some work that you've been delaying. You must decide what it is that you are willing to commit to in order to achieve what it is you desire. What actions can you take today? This is what you must ask yourself. When you think about recommitting, we've rested, we have reset, and now it's time to recommit to those things that are important so you can go get your wins. You must understand in order to achieve what you want to by the end of the year, you must be disciplined, you must be focused, and you must believe that you can do it, and then take action to achieve it. Understand that every lesson is a part of your journey, a part of your story for this year. The rest was a part of it. The reflection was part of it, the detours were a part of it, the pivots were a part of it, and the wins are a part of it too. But the story isn't finished, my friends. You get to decide how you show up for the rest of it. Don't wait until the fourth quarter arrives to decide you're ready. I want you to recommit now. You have time to line up your actions with what you say you truly desire and get to work on it. So I want you to take what you've learned, take the energy you've restored, take the clarity you've gained and use it. Use it to achieve your wins. And then if you're ready to stop talking about what you want to do and start executing, I invite you to come join me in the win collective on school. That's where I am showing up and working with the people that want to be a part of this 90-day wins community where we show up and do the work together. You don't have to do it alone. You can be in a community of people that are encouraging you and inspiring you to take that step closer to your goals, but to start with you deciding that your goals are important and you want to lock in to win. So today, goalgetters, I invite you to show up in the win collective on school where we're working, we're building, we're holding ourselves accountable, and we're getting our wins together. You can rest, reflect, recommit, then you can execute because it's time to put action to what it is you say you want to achieve. You can do it. Let's get our wins together, goalgetter.
